Shaking with pain and fear, the young, innocent dog lay shivering on the frigid snow. At only one year old, Lunka was unable to grasp the reason for the cruelty he had endured.
His small body was marked with cuts and bruises as he lay there, sobbing and unable to move. Weak and suffering, his body started to attract worms.
They gently lifted him, wrapped him in an old garment, and prayed for his survival. Lunka pleaded for the strength to endure the torment until dawn. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months.
Despite the grueling treatment, Lunka never gave up, even through the most excruciating suffering.
After 150 long and painful days, Lunka finally regained the ability to run and jump on his own. He had triumphed over all the adversities, proving that even the most fragile beings can overcome their hardships with a little love and care.
Lunka would forever remember the kindness and compassion that had saved his life.
