Poppy’s 6th birthday started off like any other day. The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping outside. He bounded out of bed, his fluffy tail wagging excitedly. Today felt special, though he wasn’t quite sure why.
As the morning rolled on, Poppy noticed something different. His favorite toy was placed on his bed, a new one he hadn’t seen before. And then came the smell—freshly baked dog treats! His eyes lit up as his family gathered around, showering him with love and attention.
Poppy got to enjoy a special birthday walk, stopping at all his favorite spots in the park. Along the way, strangers even wished him a happy birthday when they noticed his festive birthday bandana. When he got home, the biggest surprise awaited—his very own birthday cake (dog-friendly, of course)! As his family sang to him, Poppy’s heart swelled with happiness.
He might not have known what birthdays were when he first woke up, but by the end of the day, Poppy knew this was the best day ever.
