Black Forest Cheesecake Delight
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 ½ cups crushed chocolate cookies
1/4 cup melted butter
For the Cheesecake Filling:
3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup cocoa powder
For the Topping:
1 can cherry pie filling
Whipped cream (for garnish)
Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Directions:
Make the Crust:
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Combine crushed cookies and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
Cheesecake Filling:
Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then blend in sour cream and cocoa powder.
Bake:
Pour filling over crust. Bake for 55-60 minutes, until center is set. Let cool in the oven with door slightly open.
Top & Serve:
Spread cherry pie filling on cooled cheesecake. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
