Zeus woke up on his 11th birthday, stretching his long legs and letting out a contented sigh. The sun poured through the window, casting a warm glow across the room. He could hear the gentle sounds of his family bustling around, and for a moment, he felt the excitement of a birthday celebration in the air.
As the day went on, Zeus’s family showered him with love—extra cuddles, treats, and playtime in the yard. They shared stories about the years gone by, remembering all the silly things he had done and the adventures they had shared. But something was missing. There were no balloons or special cakes this year.
Feeling nostalgic, Zeus wandered through the backyard, reflecting on all the joy he had brought to their lives. He remembered when he was just a puppy, racing around the house and getting into mischief. Now, he moved a little slower, but his spirit was just as bright.
As the sun set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Zeus lay on the porch, watching the world go by. His family gathered around him, showering him with affection. They might have forgotten the big celebration, but their love was the best gift of all.
