Chocolate Hazelnut Explosion Layer Cake
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients needed)
1 cup hazelnut spread
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup chopped hazelnuts
1/2 cup chocolate frosting (for layering)
Chocolate shavings (for decoration)
Instructions:
Preheat oven according to cake mix
instructions.
Prepare chocolate cake as directed and bake in two round cake pans.
Once cooled, layer cakes with chocolate frosting in between.
In a bowl, whip heavy cream, then mix in powdered sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
Spread hazelnut cream on top of each layer and over the cake.
Top with chopped hazelnuts and chocolate shavings for decoration.
Notes:
For extra richness, drizzle more hazelnut spread on top before serving.
