Just then, her little human came running up, a big grin on their face. “Daisy! Happy Birthday!” They held up a homemade dog treat, decorated with peanut butter and sprinkles. Daisy’s tail wagged wildly as her family joined in, singing a silly song just for her. In that moment, all her earlier disappointment melted away.
