I used to be just like any other dog—happy, playful, and full of life. But after the operation, half of my nose and upper lip were removed, and everything changed. Now, when I look in the mirror, I barely recognize myself.
People avoid me. I see the way they stare, and it hurts. I didn’t ask for this, and though I may look different, I’m still the same dog with the same love to give. I just want someone to look past my scars and see me for who I am—loyal, loving, and in need of the same affection I once had. Please don’t turn away.
