For the Cake:
1 Β½ cups all-purpose flour
1 Β½ tsp baking powder
Β½ tsp baking soda

2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
ΒΌ cup fresh strawberry puree
1 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

3. Cream the Butter and Sugar:

7. Frost the Cake:
Once the cakes are completely cool, frost the top of one cake layer, then place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides of the entire cake.
8. Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh strawberries on top before serving.
