Meni’s Birthday Surprise
It was a bright, sunny day, but inside, Meni felt a heaviness in her heart. Today was her birthday, a day she had looked forward to with excitement. But instead of the usual celebrations, she sensed a deep loneliness creeping in.
Her humans had promised a party, filled with love, laughter, and lots of belly rubs, but as the day wore on, all she felt was silence. No barks of joy, no playful shouts, just an empty house. Meni lay on her favorite rug, staring out the window, waiting for the familiar sound of footsteps, the jingling of the birthday bells.
Hours passed, and as the sun began to set, a soft whimper escaped her lips. Just then, she heard the sound of a door creaking open. Meni jumped to her feet, her tail wagging with hope. In walked her humans, arms filled with colorful balloons and a cake decorated with treats just for her.
“Meni!” they called, their faces lighting up with joy. “Happy Birthday!”
