As the sun began to set, I heard a familiar sound—the jingling of keys. My humans had come home with a big smile and a box in their hands. They looked at me and suddenly exclaimed, “Oh Tuin, we almost forgot!” My ears perked up with curiosity as they opened the box to reveal a shiny new toy and a bag of my favorite treats.
They hugged me and wished me the happiest birthday ever, giving me all the attention and love I had been waiting for. My tail wagged furiously, and I bounced around with joy. The treats tasted even better knowing they were a special birthday surprise, and the new toy was perfect for a game of fetch.
So, even though I felt a little sad earlier, it turned out to be a wonderful birthday after all. My humans might have forgotten at first, but they made it up with extra cuddles and surprises. And in the end, I realized that sometimes, even when things seem a bit off, there’s always a happy ending waiting just around the corner.
