Deu raced around the park, chasing after balls, rolling in the grass, and making new friends. He forgot all about his earlier sadness. Laughter filled the air as kids played, and he felt the warmth of the sun on his fur. This was what happiness felt like!
In the middle of all the fun, something caught his eye. A group of children had gathered, holding colorful balloons and a big banner that read, “Happy Birthday, Leo!” He tilted his head in confusion, not quite understanding how they knew it was his birthday.
Just then, his human walked over, smiling brightly. “Surprise, Leo!” she exclaimed. “We wanted to throw you a little party!”
Leo could hardly contain his excitement. The children knelt down, showering him with pets and hugs. They brought out a special dog-friendly cake, complete with a single candle on top. Leo couldn’t believe his eyes—this was a celebration just for him!
