Today was his birthday! 🎂 He wagged his tail, ready for the flood of wishes, treats, and belly rubs he expected from everyone. He padded around the house, looking up at each of his humans with hopeful eyes. But no one said a word. They were busy, moving around without even a glance his way.
He trotted over to Sem, hoping for at least a bark of “happy birthday” from his best friend. But Sem just gave him a sleepy yawn and went back to napping. 🐶 Roger’s tail drooped a little, and he sat quietly by the window, watching the world outside.
“Maybe they all forgot,” he thought, his big brown eyes growing sad. The day dragged on, and still, not a single birthday wish. No special treats. No party hats. 🎈 The excitement that had filled him when he first woke up had disappeared, replaced by a feeling of loneliness.
