Honey was turning 7 today, and as he opened his eyes to the soft morning light, he could already feel the excitement in the air. His family hadn’t forgotten this time—there were whispers and rustling noises coming from the kitchen. Honey’s tail wagged as he padded toward the source of the sound, his heart racing.
When he entered the room, there it was: a small dog-friendly cake, a bright banner with “Happy Birthday Honey!” and his favorite toys all neatly arranged. His eyes sparkled as his family gathered around him, singing and clapping, making him feel like the king of the day. They played games in the yard, and Honey even got to wear a birthday hat that made everyone laugh. It was a simple, sweet celebration, but for Honey, it was perfect.
As the day ended, Honey curled up on his favorite blanket, his belly full and his heart even fuller. He knew he was loved every day, but today, they had made sure to make it extra special.
