What happens in the video:
Inside a tailoring shop, a woman examines a young man’s worn jacket. An elderly man watches, then offers a dark jacket. The young man tries it on while the older man smiles.
Extended story:
Ben had asked only whether the torn shoulder could be repaired by morning.
He had a job interview and no second jacket.
The tailor examined the fabric. There wasn’t enough sound material left to make a strong repair.
From his chair, an elderly customer listened without speaking.
Then he stood and lifted a navy jacket from its hanger.
“Try this.”
It fitted almost perfectly.
Ben checked the price tag, but the older man shook his head.
“It belonged to my son. He doesn’t need it sitting in my wardrobe.”
Ben understood from his expression that there was more to the sentence.
“I’ll look after it.”
“Wear it. That’s better.”
Three weeks later, Ben returned with the jacket cleaned and folded.
“I got the position.”
The older man pushed it gently back across the counter.
“Then you’ll need it on Monday.”
Ben began visiting the shop every few weeks. Eventually, they stopped talking about the jacket and started talking about everything else.
