What happens in the video:
An elderly man in a brown jacket stands inside a jewelry store facing a younger suited employee. He takes out a small paper and presents it while other staff and customers watch. The clip ends before showing the outcome.
Extended story:
Bernard had waited six weeks for the repair.
His wife’s wedding ring had become too loose. She stopped wearing it because she was afraid of losing it.
Their sixtieth anniversary was the following day.
He got the ring and took it to narrow it.
At the shop, the employee assumed Bernard was asking for a valuation and began explaining prices.
Bernard held out the receipt again.
“I’m collecting.”
A senior jeweler checked the number and brought a small box from the workshop.
Inside, the ring gleamed.
Bernard smiled for the first time.
The employee apologized and offered gift wrapping.
“Just the box, thank you. She’ll know what it is.”
The next morning, Bernard placed it beside his wife’s tea.
When he slipped the ring back onto her finger, she looked at him mischievously.
“Are you asking again?”
“If you’ll have me.”
She kissed his hand.
“I think we should give it another year.”
And then the new watch.
