What happens in the video:

For the first time that morning, Lily stopped smiling.
Her uncle had stepped into the aisle just as she was preparing to walk towards the ceremony.
“Let someone bring you around the other way,” he insisted. “Everyone’s waiting.”
Lily looked down at the uneven grass. She had already practised this walk with her prosthesis. She knew where she needed to slow down and where the ground was firmer.
“I’m fine,” she said. “I just need a moment.”
Her uncle kept talking, drawing more attention than her careful steps ever would have. Conversations faded. Guests turned towards them, and suddenly Lily felt as though her wedding had become a demonstration she had never agreed to give.
Then her fiancé, Adam, left his place near the celebrant and joined her.
He didn’t take her arm immediately.
“What would you like me to do?” he asked.
That simple question steadied her.
“Stand here while I adjust my dress.”
Adam waited. Her uncle began explaining that he had only been trying to help.
“I understand,” Lily replied. “But I need you to listen when I tell you what I can manage.”
The man glanced towards the watching guests. He had been so concerned about preventing an awkward moment that he had created one himself.
“I’m sorry.”
Lily nodded, then smoothed the fabric around her leg.
Months earlier, after the accident, she had wondered whether she would feel comfortable standing in front of a room full of people again. Planning the wedding had brought excitement, but also questions she was tired of answering.
Would she cover her prosthesis? Would she sit through the ceremony? Would she change the dress?
She had made those decisions carefully. She wanted the people she loved to trust them.
Adam offered his hand.
“Together?”
She smiled. “Together.”
They walked the remaining distance side by side. Nobody hurried them. At the front, the celebrant waited until Lily had settled before beginning.
Later, her uncle approached during the reception.
“May I get you anything?”
“A glass of water would be lovely.”
He returned with it and sat beside her.
“I thought helping meant taking charge,” he admitted.
“Sometimes it means waiting.”
When the music started, Adam asked whether she wanted to dance. Lily glanced at the floor, considered how she felt, then stood.
“One song.”
Her uncle moved a chair closer to the edge of the dance floor without interrupting them. When Lily was ready to sit, it was there.
This time, he had listened.
